Getting Here

We are located in the small hamlet of La Brousse on the Charente/Dordogne border in the SW of France, approximately 48km (40 mins) south of Angoulême, and about 2.5km south west of the village of Saint-Séverin (16390).

BY CAR

There are excellent motorway links from all major ports: St Malo (5hrs), Caen (5hrs), Le Havre (5:30hrs), Cherbourg (6hrs), Dieppe (6hrs), Roscoff (6:30hrs) and Calais (7:30hrs). There are various ferry companies serving the ports, or the Eurotunnel service runs from Folkestone to Calais. There is a good www.directferries.co.uk/ferries_from_england_to_france which lists all the various routes from the UK to France. We also recommend checking out the following website, which contains everything you need to know about driving in France: www.drive-france.com

Driving from Angouleme:
Follow the D674 to Montmoreau-Saint-Cybard (approx. 30km) then the D709 to Saint Severin (approx. 17km). From Saint Severin, take the D17 towards Aubeterre sur Dronne and after 2.3km, you will see a small turning on you left signposted to 'La Brousse' and also 'Zenith Vacances'. Turn left here and follow the lane for approximately 600m up into the hamlet until you reach a t-junction, turn left and we are the last property on the right, no. 13. Parking is on the gravelled area opposite.

CAR HIRE

We live in rural France - local public transport is extremely limited and consequently we advise that a car is ESSENTIAL. You can book your car hire in advance from the airports and train stations – we recommend family run Buggs Car Hire at Bergerac or Limoges Airports, or try Avis, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz etc. from other locations.
